Pike Central High School produces a Spring musical and a fall play each year along with the spring band concerts.

Our middle school Jazz band has had the honor of playing for the Middle School National Convention in 1997.

The Pike Central Marching Brigade represented the state in 1997 at the 4th of July celebration in Washington, D.C.

The Pike County Historical Society meets monthly at the library where they have been instrumental in compiling volumes of historical facts about the county and surrounding areas. They also operate the Petersburg museum.

The Pike County Writers Guild, also meets once a month. They have produced such publications as The Rattling Goose, a county written publication.

The Pike County Garden Club was formed in 1937. At present they maintain two flower beds at Hornady Park.
