The City of Petersburg is governed by a Mayor and five Council Members each serving a four year term. There is also a Clerk/Treasurer serving a four year term. The Petersburg City Council meets the first and third Monday of each month. Petersburg operates a Water and Sewer Utility that serves 1,489 customers.

The town of Winslow operates with a Clerk/Treasurer and three elected council men each serving four year terms. The Winslow council meets the second and fourth Monday of each month.

Winslow is currently undergoing major renovations. They have installed a new sewer system, new water plant, new bridge, and a new library. The town, through volunteer labor has renovated the old gym for use as a Community Center.

The town of Spurgeon, like Winslow has a Clerk/Treasurer and three council men, each elected to four year terms. Spurgeon also has a four member parks board. The Spurgeon town council meets once a month.

Pike County holds elections every four years. Some terms are staggered. The county elects a Clerk, Auditor, Treasurer, Recorder, Sheriff, Surveyor, Coroner, Prosecuting Attorney, Assessor, three Commissioners, and seven County Councilmen.

The Commissioners meet the first and third Monday of each month and the County Council meets the second Tuesday of each month.
